The Senior High School Department of Stonyhurst Southville International School – Malarayat Campus aired the pilot episode of KINGS ON AIR last March 16, 2019 through the No. 1 and multi-awarded Radio Station in Batangas, 99.1 Spirit FM.
Now on its 3rd year, KINGS ON AIR is a solid two-hour program of the Senior High School Department that serves as an integration of the following courses – Communication Arts, Media Lit and Personality Development – as one big performance task.
This year, Grade 11 students tackle issues of adolescence, peer pressure, stress, career path and other concerns of teenagers. The first leg happened last Saturday, March 16, 2019 with the great DJ Joseph as the main host. Headed by Department Coordinator, Ms. Rizchel Cordero, teachers from SSIS assist and guide this group of students – Ms. Pauline Navarro, Sir John Balaoro and Ms. Jennifer Tibayan.
There will be three more Saturdays left for the Kings on Air – March 23, March 30 and April 13, 2019. Watch out for our Student-DJs as they facilitate enriching and refreshing discussions on the pertinent issues.
