TONGSON RANKS 1 IN PH, 4 GLOBALLY IN THE SOUTHEAST ASIAN MATHEMATICAL OLYMPIAD

Grade 6 Math Wizard, Michael Tongson, ranked 1 in the country; and 4th globally in the 2019 South East Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO), with 20,000 participants across 15 countries around the world. Eight more KINGS received awards in the same competition which was held last September 21, 2019.

Congratulations to the following awardees for SEAMO 2019:

GOLD AWARDEES – Kiesha Zheanna Bacay (Grade 5) and Michael Gerard Tongson (Grade 6)
SILVER AWARDEES – Irish Balahadia (Grade 3), Alyana Michaela Marquez (Grade 4), Aidan Gilles Rosita (Grade 4), and Jan Feliza Siscar (Grade 5)
BRONZE AWARDEES – Prinx Savier Cortez (Grade 2), Keisha Sophia Mission (Grade 3), Prinxyl Shifrah Cortez (Grade 6)
All of these students are eligible to represent the Philippines in the SEAMO Extended Round to be held in Gold Coast, Australia in January 2020.

SEAMO is a unique platform dedicated to provide resources for students of various levels to hone their problem-solving skills and to prepare for more challenging mathematical competitions. With over 20,000 participants across 15 countries, the Olympiad provides national and international ranking to all participating students.
