SCHOOL SPIRIT REIGNS THROUGH VIRTUAL ROYALTY MUFTI
August 2020 – Stonyhurst Southville International School – Malarayat (SSIS-M) Campus celebrated its School Spirit Day last August 28. Even virtually, students came together to take pride as SSIS-M Kings. The Mufti Day theme was the same as the School Spirit theme every year in which students were encouraged to wear costumes fit for royalty; however, this time they wore crowns instead.
Some students wore paper crowns, toy crowns, and tiaras; some even had digital effects that allowed them to have a virtual crown along with creative backgrounds. They also had a whole day of fun-filled activities and picture-taking with the class.
Amidst the situation, the students, teachers and staff still managed to show pride in being an SSISM King even though the event was conducted online rather than face to face or on campus. It just shows the strongly founded harmony and bond of the Kings.
School Spirit Day promotes unity and kindness among its students, an environment where differences are non-existent, and a community where there is only love and support. As SSISM’s tagline states, “Always wear your invisible crown SSIS Kings!”, truly, the Royalty Mufti Day represented and showcased what it truly meant to be a King as students ended the day with smiles and their chins up like royalty.
