We are honored and grateful to share that Stonyhurst Southville International School – Malarayat Campus was recognized at the Provincial Capitol by Governor Vilma Santos-Recto during the flag raising ceremony on May 4, 2026.
The Batangas governor commended the school for being named Lipa City School of Character in 2025, and for receiving two more significant recognitions this year: Lipa City School of Character 2026 and National School of Character 2026.
This milestone marks a historic first—not only for the City of Lipa, but for the entire province of Batangas and the Philippines.
The SSISM Management Committee was present during the ceremony, where Governor Vilma Santos-Recto expressed that this achievement is a true pride of the province. Following the ceremony, the SSISM team was invited to the Governor’s Mansion for a brief audience and conversation with the governor.
We share this recognition with our entire community—our students, parents, faculty, and staff—whose commitment to living out our core values continues to make moments like this possible. Governor Vilma Santos-Recto also congratulated the whole SSISM community for this recognition, emphasizing that this award is truly for everyone.
